CULTURE PROGRAM $$$ SETTING UP FOR HOUSE-SENATE NEGOTIATION
The Senate budget bill released Tuesday morning is already setting up a conflict with the House over funding for cultural programs.
The bill the Senate will debate next week includes $16.5 million for arts programming for the Massachusetts Cultural Council. The House's fiscal 2018 budget, approved in late April, devoted roughly $12 million to the council, which promotes arts, humanities and interpretive sciences.
