BAKER, VERMONT GUV SIGN LETTER BACKING PARIS ACCORD

[Story Developing] Hours before students planned to visit Gov. Charlie Baker's office to ask him to join 12 other governors on a letter urging federal support for the Paris climate change agreement, Baker announced he had sent his own message backing the accord.

Baker's office said Wednesday afternoon that he and Vermont Gov. Phil Scott sent a letter to the Trump administration "urging them to continue the United States’ commitment to the Paris Climate Agreement." Baker and Scott describe themselves in the letter as "the Republican Governors of states that have taken a leadership role in combating climate change."
