At 3.9 PERCENT, JOBLESS RATE UP FULL POINT SINCE NOVEMBER
The unemployment rate in Massachusetts rose to 3.9 percent in April with 3.55 million residents working and 143,100 unemployed, state labor officials said Thursday.
There were 21,200 more people employed in April than in March and 11,800 more unemployed, according to the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development.
