MASS. HOME SALES, PRICES UP IN JANUARY
The median sale price of single-family homes in Massachusetts rose to $369,900 in January, benefiting sellers but raising the affordability bar higher for first-time buyers.
The Massachusetts Association of Realtors reported Wednesday on price jumps in single-family homes and condominiums, which had a median price of $354,950 last month. Single-family prices are up 4.2 percent compared to a year earlier while condo prices are up 6.1 percent.
