DRAFTKINGS PLANS EXPANSION, NEW BOSTON HQ

As part of what it describes as an "aggressive" expansion, the daily fantasy sports leader DraftKings announced Thursday a new Boston headquarters that will be more than twice the size of its current space.

The 105,000 square foot office at 500 Boylston St. will be necessary as DraftKings embarks to increase the size of its workforce by 75 percent in the next 18 months -- from its current 425 employees to more than 700 by mid-2019, the company said. At least 600 of those jobs will be based in Boston.
