POTENTIAL GUV CANDIDATE SETTI WARREN PLANNING "FIRST STEP"

By Michael P. Norton

STATE HOUSE NEWS SERVICE

STATE HOUSE, BOSTON, MAY 16, 2017....Newton Mayor Setti Warren, who has spent months considering a run for governor, plans on Saturday to announce "the first step he'll take to lead the commonwealth forward," according to an email circulated Tuesday by his wife, Tassy Warren.

"Before I married Setti, he wanted me to be sure I knew what I was getting into. He let me know that public service was an important part of his life and something he cared deeply about," Tassy Warren wrote. "It's a commitment we both share, which is why I'm excited to invite you to our block party this Saturday. Setti will be talking about the need for a new generation of leadership to tackle economic inequality and move the Commonwealth forward."
