PROVINCETOWN NURSING HOME APPEALS FOR STATE $$$ LIFELINE

STATE HOUSE, BOSTON, MAY 16, 2017.....Provincetown's nursing home is in an "unsustainable situation" with high costs contributing to more than $8 million in operating losses over the last decade, Abundant Life Communities President and CEO Christopher Sintros told lawmakers on Tuesday.
The Wellness Center at Seashore Point is the largest private year-round employer in Provincetown and serves medical needs for a community many miles from the nearest hospital, but current Medicaid payments do not cover the expense of staffing the facility, Sintros told the Committee on Health Care Financing.
