STATE HOUSE NEWS SERVICE

STATE HOUSE, BOSTON, MAY 17, 2017.....With a goal of improving the quality of health care while driving down the cost, Partners HealthCare and GE Healthcare announced Wednesday a 10-year partnership that aims to integrate artificial intelligence into every step of care from the time a patient is admitted to a hospital to the time they are discharged.

Beginning with a focus on developing applications that could improve diagnostic imaging and clinician productivity, the collaboration through the new Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital Center for Clinical Data Science will then shift to creating new business models for applying artificial intelligence to health care.
