RALLIERS SIGNAL T PRIVATIZATION COULD SPILL INTO SENATE BUDGET DEBATE [+MEDIA]

STATE HOUSE, BOSTON, MAY 17, 2017....Fired-up union activists want to use the Senate budget next week to halt the ongoing privatization of MBTA services that lawmakers enabled in the state budget two years ago, but the MBTA's top manager emphasized his commitment to efficiency.
Standing in the hot sun on the front steps of the State House on Wednesday, union officials and Democratic lawmakers decried the Baker administration's privatization of T jobs and called for management to sit down at the negotiating table with bus mechanics instead of outsourcing that work.
