LAWRENCE SEEKING OUTSIDE HELP TO CURB VIOLENCE
Citing an increase this month in gun violence, the police chief of Lawrence plans this week to seek special prosecutors for firearms crimes.
According to police chief James Fitzpatrick, Lawrence Police this month have responded to 10 incidents involving shots fired, and he believes much of the violence is tied to drug trading and domestic violence.
