FORMER VERMONT GUV ENDORSES WARREN FOR GOVERNOR
The former governor of Vermont dipped into Bay State Democratic politics on Wednesday, endorsing former Newton Mayor Setti Warren for governor.
"Given the situation in D.C., the states are where we will find the solutions for lowering health care costs, and we will rely on forward-looking states like Massachusetts to lead the way. To get there, we need to elect progressive governors who are committed to leading on single payer right now," Peter Shumlin, a Democrat, said in a statement. He said, "I am convinced Setti Warren is just that kind of Democrat and I am proud to endorse him and help him in any way to achieve this goal."
