DeLEO PLANS LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES SPEECH IN SALEM

House Speaker Robert DeLeo is expected to "provide an update of the legislative progress and priorities" in a speech next week at Salem State University.

It is unclear whether the speech, hosted by the North Shore Alliance for Economic Development, will take the place of the agenda-setting speech DeLeo has traditionally given to the House members at the outset of each session. The event was listed on the alliance's website and included in a newsletter to Democrats on Friday, but was not announced by DeLeo's office.
