DeLeo Floats Idea to Address Budget Stalemate

Unable to agree with the Senate on a larger bill, House Speaker Robert DeLeo on Monday told the Baker administration and state comptroller that the House would be willing to pass a close-out budget bill that pays any outstanding bills from last year, but includes no discretionary spending, in order to break the stalemate with the Senate.
