Talks Intensifying on Spending, Savings Measures

The state is facing a list of $348 million in "truly critical" spending needs, including $50 million for the MBTA, that are stalled as a result of the inability of the House and Senate to strike a deal over a now severely late budget, Gov. Charlie Baker told Democratic leaders on Beacon Hill on Monday.
