BAKER OFFERS PLAN TO MINIMIZE STUDENT DISRUPTION WHEN COLLEGES CLOSE

State education officials would have new oversight of financially strapped colleges and universities that are at risk of closing, and those schools would need to put forward a plan in case of closure that would accommodate their students continued studies, under a bill Gov. Charlie Baker proposed Wednesday.
