After Signing Bill, Baker Restarts COVID-19 Data Debate

One day after he signed a bill expanding COVID-19 reporting requirements, Gov. Charlie Baker filed a new data-collection proposal that he hopes will "put a finer point" on tracking the virus's impact. At a Tuesday press conference in Lawrence, Baker said his proposal builds on what the Legislature sent him by giving public health authorities more power to access the data they need in order to comply with the new requirements.
