House Session Summary - Thursday, Oct. 15

A Cambridge Democrat tried Thursday to bring attention to the impending end of the state's eviction and foreclosure moratorium on Saturday, before using a motion to bring a House session to an end once it was apparent that no legislative intervention on the issue was imminent. Rep. Mike Connolly introduced new legislation to extend the moratorium until Jan. 1, 2021 or 45 days after the COVID-19 state of emergency is lifted, and later in the session doubted the presence of a quorum, forcing the House to adjourn since there was no quorum present.
