Senate Session Summary - Thursday, July 29
7/29/21 5:46 PM
The Senate on Thursday rejected most of Gov. Charlie Baker's vetoes and amendments to the fiscal 2022 budget, in the process ensuring that a voter-approved tax deduction for charitable donations will not take effect until at least 2023. Like their colleagues in the House did a day earlier, senators overrode all 12 of Baker's line-item spending vetoes and both of his outside section policy vetoes. - Chris Lisinski
