House Session Summary - Monday, Aug. 8

The governor's message vetoing a proposed moratorium on prison expansion was sent to the Ways and Means Committee Monday, but really into legislative limbo, because with no ability to hold roll calls, none of the vetoes received today to the government bond bill passed in July can be overridden without extraordinary measures by the House. The House also continued what will be a mostly-quiet parade of progress on matters of mainly local concern.
