House Session Summary - Thursday, Sept. 22

The House on Thursday received Gov. Charlie Baker's edits to a road safety bill (H 5103) involving issues like lower speed limits on state roads in thickly-settled areas, and sent the governor's revisions (H 5298) to the Third Reading Committee chaired by Rep. Denise Garlick of Needham. The House also enacted a bill (H 5213) setting terms for state bonds to be issued under two laws enacted over the summer -- the infrastructure bond bill (H 5151) and judiciary IT modernization law (H 5163) -- and enacted a measure (H 4351) dealing with municipal light plants after agreeing with a Senate amendment.
