Senate Session Summary - Thursday, May 19

The Senate agreed to disagree Thursday on the details of sports betting legalization and a measure to open up driver's license applications to undocumented immigrants, formally insisting on the Senate versions of those bills and appointing senators to negotiate with the House. The Senate returns Monday morning to meet without a calendar. Debate on the Senate Ways and Means fiscal 2023 budget proposal, and its pending 1,000-plus amendments, is slated to start Tuesday.
